Description
The Biobank of the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli IRCCS is an institutional facility that offers processing and storage services for biological samples and their respective clinical data, made available to the scientific community. The Biobank also provides dedicated storage services for specific projects. Samples are processed by pre-analytical, cellular, and molecular biology laboratories. The Biobank is equipped with a main cryogenic room and a secondary recovery room, both monitored 24/7 by a certified platform. Sample and process traceability is managed by LabVantage® Software. Samples, stored upon signing of informed consent, and clinical data, managed to ensure patient privacy, are distributed through an MDTA (Material Data Transfer Agreement). The Biobank operates according to high-quality standards and is certified ISO 9001:2015. Participation in scientific networks allows it to offer services to numerous public and private research institutions.
