Description

LTTA Biobank is part of the Laboratory for Advanced Therapy Technologies of the Tecnopole (LTTA) of the University of Ferrara. It is involved in High Tecnology Network of Emilia Romagna that guarantees the accreditation processes of the laboratories. LTTA Biobank consists of a collection of biological samples derived from over 400 patients with B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL) with different clinical histories and retains more than 1200 vials of biological samples (cells, tissues, biological fluids). Trained staff deals with purifying, characterizing and cryopreserving samples for preclinical research studies, predominantly in the oncological field. LTTA Biobank also supports the biobanking of biological samples from other pathologies in order to conduct several studies to identify new prognostic markers or to develop new therapeutic approaches. LTTA Biobank is involved The LTTA Biobank participates in national and European projects, mainly in the field of oncology, and is a supplier of technological services for companies and research institutions.
