Description
The Biological Material Collection Center was established in 2016 as a Structure of the Research, Training, and Innovation Infrastructure (IRFI) within the Department of Integrated Research and Innovation Activities (DAIRI) of the S.S. Antonio e Biagio e C. Arrigo University Hospital of Alessandria. It includes a Biological Bank (Alessandria Biobank) and a Biorepository dedicated to managing biological samples from the Hospital's clinical studies. The Biological Bank collects collections of: - Mesothelioma (established in 2005) - Breast Carcinoma (started in 2021) - Squamous and Basal Cell Skin Tumors (started in 2023) The CRMB's activities are regulated by standard operating procedures, in compliance with current regulations and patient privacy protection. Since 2015, the Biobank has been ISO 9001:2015 certified, ensuring high-quality standards in all biobanking procedures.
