Description
The Neuromed Biobanking Center (NBC) is the population biobank of the IRCCS Neuromed; was born as an extension of the Moli-bank, the biobank of the Moli-sani research project which involved, in the years 2005-2010, 25,000 citizens in the Molise region following them with follow-up for accident events. The NBC collects, stores and distributes, on the basis of epidemiological research projects, human biological material and related data according to quality criteria and in compliance with the protection of the participant. The biological samples of the subjects who, by signing the Informed Consent, have given their sample for exclusive research use are stored in nitrogen vapor (-196°C) and refrigerators (-80°C). The NBC stores serum, citrated and EDTA plasma, buffy coat, DNA and urine samples. All the samples collected are associated with anamnestic information, on environmental exposures, lifestyle and diet, psychosocial factors, clinical and laboratory evaluations.
