Description
The Biological Resources Centre of the Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli (hereinafter referred as “CRB-IOR”) was born in 2017 within the Scientific Direction. The CRB was born from the joint work of 3 research biobanks with the purpose of collecting and storing biological samples and associated data both clinical and imaging and biological and genetic Musculoskeletal Tumor Biobank (BIOTUM), collecting samples and associated data from patients suffering from benign and malignant neoplasms of the musculoskeletal system. Genetic Biobank (BIOGEN), developing research activity in the field of hereditary diseases; Rheumatology Biobank (RheumaBank), enhancing basic and clinical research studies with the aim of having a better understanding of this autoimmune disease; Preserving biological samples and associated data according to criteria that ensure quality and safety is a starting point for quality and excellent scientific and translational research.
